Fort Daniel Outdoor Adventure Camp - 2400
Open for youth ages 6 - 12.
Meets at Fort Daniel Conservation Area.


Located at the Fort Daniel Conservation Area near Mt. Zion, this camp will get your children to discover and learn outdoors with games, activities, hikes, and so much more! They will even have a chance to get wet and muddy! If feeling like a real explorer and having fun doing it sounds like something your kids would enjoy please join us for the Geocaching Animals themed Outdoor Adventure Camp this summer! Camp meets on weekly on Thursday mornings.

Week 1 - Finding a Squirrels' Cache
9:00 a.m. to noon on June 13

What is geocaching? Can I do it? What do squirrels have to do with caching? They hide their nuts of course! We'll learn all about these questions and get to find our own Cache! Fee $10, reservations required. Meets at Fort Daniel Conservation Area.

Week 2 - Foxy Hideouts
9:00 a.m. to noon on June 20

Are foxes really foxy? If I were making my own Geocache where could I hide it? Let's find out together and make maps to our secret spots. Fee $10, reservations required. Meets at Fort Daniel Conservation Area.

Week 3 - Turtle! Turtle!
9:00 a.m. to noon on June 27

A shell is important to a turtles' safety, but why? The shell of a Geocache is just as important! What kinds of containers would we find a Geocache stashed inside? Fee $10, reservations required. Meets at Fort Daniel Conservation Area.

Week 4 - Oyster's Treasures
9:00 a.m. to noon on July 5

Oooooh! Ahhhhh! Look at the beautiful pearl! It came from inside an oyster! We'll discover how that's possible, and what kids of things go into a Geocache. Fee $10, reservations required. Meets at Fort Daniel Conservation Area.

Week 5 - Deer Trails
9:00 a.m. to noon on July 11

Let's go down a deer trail and splashing through the creek! Be prepared to get wet and muddy this day as we learn the effects a Geocache can have on an environment. Fee $10, reservations required. Meets at Fort Daniel Conservation Area.

Week 6 - Ready, Set, Search!
9:00 a.m. to noon on July 18

Let's put our skills to the test! Like migrating animals use their instincts to find their way, we will use our GPS to find a REAL Geocache! Fee $10, reservations required. Meets at Fort Daniel Conservation Area.
