Mini Camps
Children ages 1-5 with adult companion

These single day, hour long Mini Camps broaden children’s love for nature and provide discovery for children and their adult companions throughout the whole year. We look forward to seeing you and your family soon!

Each camp is $10/child and meets at Rock Springs Nature Center. Mini Camps are tailored to three age groups:

Toddler Camp Ages 1-2 with adult companion Includes activities, craft, snack, songs, and 15-20 minutes outside
Nature Play Camp Ages 1-5 with adult companion Includes activities, craft, snack, songs, and 15-20 minutes outside
My First Camp Ages 3-5 with adult companion Includes activities, craft, snack, songs, and 30-40 minutes outside

Spring Mini Camps

B for Butterflies
Wednesday, April 9, 9:30-10:30 a.m., ages 1-5 with adult companion
Thursday, April 10, 1:00-2:00p.m., ages 3-5 with adult companion
Do you see that flash of color? There it goes! What a beautiful butterfly! Flutter along during this hands-on class filled with science and imagination featuring our butterfly friends. Fee $10. Reservations required by April 8.
S for Spring
Tuesday, April 22, 9:30-10:30 a.m., ages 1-5 with adult companion
Wednesday, April 23, 1:00-2:00 p.m., ages 3-5 with adult companion

Spring is in the air! Plants are budding and animals are being born! Join us on a springtime adventure to discover the growing world around us. Fee $10. Reservations required by April 21.

Toddler Camp June 10, 9:00-10:00 am or June 12, 10:30-11:30 am

Foxes and raccoons and deer! Oh my! We will go hands-on as we explore furs, movements, and sounds of mammals.

F for Fish
Toddler Camp June 17, 9:00-10:00 am or June 19, 10:30-11:30 am
Nature Play Camp June 17, 10:30-11:30 am or June 18, 9:00-10:00 am
My First Camp June 18, 10:30-11:30 am or June 19, 9:00-10:00 am

Here fishy, fishy! Children will have a splash as we dive into the life of a fish and discover a nearby pond.

Colors and smells! Plants are so much fun! We will use our senses to experience the growing planet around us as we learn how plants grow and change in this fun class.

Scales, scales, and more scales! Have you ever wondered how reptiles stay safe? We will slither and crawl into the lives of turtles and snakes through activities, play and more!

Are you ready to get messy? We are going to get hands-on and dig into the earth below our feet as we uncover its importance to creatures and plants all around us.

Ribbit, Ribbit! Hop, Hop! Amphibians are more than just frogs. Children will encounter several live amphibians as we use our senses to discover frogs, toads, and salamanders.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Busy as a bee! Insects are all around us! Campers will crawl into the overlooked lives of bugs as we use our senses and imagination to explore these fascinating creatures.
